Effect of Strip Treatment Agent in Color Coated Aluminum Coil

With the higher and higher requirements for anticorrosion capability and coating effect in metallurgy, construction, automobile, household appliances and other industries, the high-speed development of China's color coated aluminum coil industry and strip steel continuous hot galvanizing industry is promoted. Especially, the manufacturing process of Color Coated Aluminum Coil saves the operation and working time of degreasing (pickling, alkali washing, rinsing), film forming (phosphating, passivation, rinsing) and coating (primer, baking and topcoat) compared with the traditional first processing and then coating process. Saved pretreatment costs, coating costs, pretreatment equipment and coating equipment costs, plant investment costs, etc., improved the processing environment and working conditions of workers, widely welcomed by many manufacturing industries, and further promoted the rapid development of color coated aluminum coil industry.

Due to the great difference between the continuous hot galvanizing process of strip steel and the manufacturing process of color coated aluminum coil and the traditional process of first processing and then coating, the degreasing agent, conversion solution and passivating agent adopted by the process have special functions and own characteristics. This paper introduces the pretreatment of continuous hot galvanizing of strip steel and color coated aluminum coil and the functions and characteristics of the special treating agent used, i.e. strip treating agent.

In order to remove oil stains, rust, dust and the like attached to the surface of the substrate used for continuous hot galvanizing of strip steel and for manufacturing color coated aluminum coils, and form a good substrate suitable for the requirements of continuous hot galvanizing of strip steel and coating of coil coatings, so as to ensure that the hot galvanized sheet and color coated aluminum coils have good corrosion resistance and adhesion, chemical treatment must be carried out before hot galvanizing or coating materials. We call the chemical treatment agent used in the continuous hot galvanizing and color coated aluminum coil manufacturing process of this kind of strip steel special treatment agent, abbreviated as strip treatment agent, which includes strip degreasing agent, strip conversion solution and strip passivating agent.
